Sergei Mavrodi is the Russian whom founded the biggest pyramid swindle in Russian history in the 90’s.
In 1994 hundreds of thousands of Russian lost their money when the pyramid construction of Mavrodi collapsed. They lost a total of more than 1.5 billion Euros. In 2003 Mavrodi ended up in a cell for tax fraud.
A pyramid swindle counts on a group of people that invest more and more money in a fictitious product. 
MMM “banknotes” are a remnant of one of the largest pyramid games in history lead by the MMM Corporation. The man behind this misery was Sergei Mavrodi whom is also depicted on the ‘banknote’. 


Sergey Panteleevich Mavrodi (Russian: Серге́й Пантелеевич Мавроди; born August 11, 1955) is a Russian criminal and a former deputy of the State Duma. He is the founder of the МММ series of pyramid schemes.
MMM was established in 1989 by Sergei Mavrodi, his brother Vyacheslav Mavrodi, and Olga Melnikova. The name of the company was taken from the first letters of the three founders' surnames. МММ was a Russian company that perpetrated one of the world's largest Ponzi schemes of all time.
