Très grand et superbes et unique vase mosaïque signé Jean Gerbino à Vallauris.
Très beau décor aux fleurs blanches.

Le procédé particulier dit "GERBINO" associe différentes techniques de mosaïque et de nériage (mélange de terres colorées). Les argiles (faïence) sont colorés dans la masse par des oxydes. Ces argiles sont assemblés à plat pour former des dessins. Les plaques ainsi réalisées sont mises en forme dans des moules. Après séchage, la pièce est cuite une première fois, recouverte d'un émail incolore puis cuite une seconde fois.

Il mesure 16,5 cm de hauteur et de diamètre de base de 7 cm. Diamètre total: 12 cm. 
Poids: 518 g.
En très bon état avec legers éclats sous la base.
