Loeki Metz ontwierp deze penning in 1948 voor de Vereniging voor Penningkunst.
Afmeting: diameter 60 mm.
Conditie: goed.

De penning was het resultaat van een beperkte prijsvraag, uitsluitend vrouwen mochten meedoen. De eerste gietpenning van de Vereniging. Louise Metz, leerlinge van Bronner, kreeg de prijs en de opdracht. Het ontwerp was ontleend aan het grootzegel van de Koningin. Hij is zeer archaïserend en doet eigenlijk middeleeuws aan; hij ademt de Bronner-sfeer. Het is dan ook een representatie van een symbool geworden: de vrouwenfiguur met de kaarsrechte rug, met kroon en scepter gezeten op een strijdbaar ros dat elegant voortstapt. De subtiel gesneden letters in verhoging geven een tintelend effect aan het geheel. Hoogst ornamenteel is de keerzijde. Het duurt even voor duidelijk is hoe als een bloemmotief, binnen de brede vlakke band de gekroonde letter W met wapens en versierselen, tekst en jaartallen zijn samengevat.....
