This is really quite special, an original Ford Taunus Ghia 2-door from 1978.
Newly delivered in Belgium and has originally driven only 49,000 km.
The most luxurious edition and with an automatic transmission and an ex-factory sliding roof on top of that.

A lot of time effort and love has recently been put into this unique Taunus: the bodywork has been fitted with as good as new original wind shields, the sparse rust that was there has been professionally addressed, and both sides have been repainted.

Technically, the car has been fully taken care of: new brakes all around with new front calipers, new oil, filters, tyres, timing belt, water pump, petrol pump, etc.

It still had the first Michelin tyres with plenty of tread left, but we replaced them as a precaution (we still have the old ones on hand as souvenirs).

The interior is beautiful and original and finished with wood in a very luxurious manner. Fitted with the original radio as well.

The car drives just great, it is very comfortable and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly.

The ex-factory sliding roof is a rare and sought-after option, it works perfectly and is a pleasure to open while driving.
A few details still need some attention, such as the rear bumper that needs straightening, the exhaust at the rear leaks at its connection, and everything needs checking.
All in all a unique and classic Taunus TC1 in a very rare model and condition. You won't find many like this any more.
