Een schitterende Thangka, uitzonderlijk gedecoreerd, opvallend Boeddhisme.
Deze Thangka geeft bij kunstlicht door het veel verwerkte gouddraad een prachtige spirituele uitstraling.

Hoewel er verschillende boeddha beelden zijn, is er uiteindelijk maar eentje de originele! Het Boeddhisme begon met één man, namelijk Siddhartha Gautama. Hij leefde in de tijd voor Christus als koninklijk persoon in Noord-India en bezat alles wat een mens kon wensen. Toen hij 29 was, besloot de prins voor het eerst zijn paleis te verlaten om zijn omgeving te ervaren. Na het zien van de realiteit in de buitenwereld, kwam hij tot een ingeving dat niks in dit leven blijvend is. Daarom ging hij op zoek naar het ultieme en blijvende geluk. Toen hij 35 was, heeft Siddhartha 49 dagen lang onder een bodhiboom gemediteerd. Hij bereikte volledige verlichting en werd hierna Buddha genoemd, wat ‘de verlichte’ betekent.
