There were lots of small, talented Italian manufacturers competing with cars of their own construction in the various races and championships at that time.
And just as many manufacturers were later obliged to give up or go bankrupt as a result of changes in regulations or categories when racing started to become too expensive. De Sanctis — the Pedrezzani brothers with Tecno, Volpini, Giannini, Patriarca, Bandini, Stanguellini were all great names bringing innovation and genius to the Italian automotive heritage. 

Built in about 6 specimens (few are left) by the De Sanctis brothers of Rome, this Formula Ford 70 1600 won the Super Ford championship in 1970 with Italian driver Biagio Cammarone. He won 6 of the 12 races.

Restored directly in Rome with the constant presence of Cammarone Biagio, who on 26/10/2017 after 47 years clearly felt nostalgic over his car.
Later, it got a new and long life as it was acquired by Henry Morrogh and used in his "driving school" in Magione-Perugia, on the racing circuit. 

With this formula, drivers like Jacques Villeneuve, De Angelis, De Cesaris, Nannini, Larini... all improved their skills by moving up to Formula 1.
Many private and lesser known drivers joined in.

The Italian classic car magazine Ruoteclassiche No. 145 (December 2000) dedicated a six page article to the car.
Various exhibitions and reports. For years the car remained in a large private collection and finally, after another mechanical check, it took part as a guest of honour in the famous "Le Svolte di Popoli" race in September 2022 for its 60th anniversary. 

The lucky winner of the auction will also receive a free copy of the Ruoteclassiche magazine dedicated to the car, the book on De Sanctis by Rastrelli which is no longer in print, as well as race photos from the period.

The car is currently "race-ready" with all its parts revised and serviced; indeed, in September 2022, it took part in the historic Svolte di Popoli race). 

In particular: starter motor overhauled, 4 tyres fitted.
The fibreglass bodywork has been polished, the brake and clutch pumps have been overhauled, the battery is new, a slight water leak has been repaired as the water in the formula penetrates the chassis tubes. 
Interior with belts preserved.

With its original parts still intact, the car is perfectly usable and ready (with new oil and water) for races and events.
