An elegant set of gentlemen's cufflinks from the American high end jewellery designer- Harvey Avedon.

18kt gold plated  round cufflinks decorated with a roman emperor's head..

Large cufflinks- 2.7cm diameter.
Patent number signature.

Harvey Avedon began his business in 1934 producing the famous American "StrikALite" cigarette lighter. These were made in silver and gold as well as base metals. In the 1940's his lighters and cigarette cases were sold by Tiffany & Co. with their Tiffany signature on them. He later began designing and making gentlemen's accessoires, mainly cufflinks. In 1956 he patented a toggle fastener for his cufflinks and used the patent number 2920363 as the signature for his cufflinks, instead of his name. His name appeared only on the gold and silver items he made. Avedon stopped producing in 1976 after a burglary at his factory.

Delivered in a presentation box that is not original to the cufflinks.
