Format: Base plate (iron and steel) +-40x40cm - Press plate (mobile) +-28x31cm - HT pressure screw +-26cm - Supports and horizontal screw bar +-35cm finishing at two ends : 2 copper balls and also various decorative features in several locations on the object (see photos).
This item can ALSO be considered as one of the first photocopiers by printing, letters and invoicing processed after 1900.
The letters and invoices were transferred to a register called "REGISTRE DE COPIES LETTRES" with the wet transfer method of a moistened with ink copy of the original, constituting the proof of dispatch of the original, for tax audits.  
Good level of functioning and generally good appearance. It is not polished nor varnished to preserve it's state of authenticity : See photos below.
Appearance as acquired + 50 years ago.
WEIGHT is +- 19 to 20 kg.
