Necklace with Roman purple glass beads. The necklace contains several interesting decorated and melon beads, the central amulet bead is decorated with a small lunula (crescent). The necklace is restrung with authentic Roman beads and is wearable (clasp). 

Total length: 53 cm
Diameter beads: ± 8,3 mm (maximum)

In Roman society purple was a very desirable colour and a status symbol of the elite.

Good condition and wearable. Restrung with modern materials and clasp. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.

Ancient/Roman beads:
