Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda-line series for Stelton, launched in 1967, became an immediate success, winning both Danish and international design awards in the late 1960s. His innovative use of lightly brushed, seamless stainless steel in pure, clean cylindrical forms was a sensation and has remained popular ever since. A true Danish design classic and perfect example of Scandinavian minimalism.

These elegant vintage items are fine examples from the Cylinda-line.  A sleek cylindrical, lidded ice bucket, the largest size from the series (26x24x16cm; 2.5 litres), in near-mint used condition with only light patina (to the underside of the lid, difficult to see in normal light - see photo #17). In addition matching ice tongs (19x4.4x2.4cm) in unused mint condition. 

These fine minimalistic pieces are aesthetically pleasing and would make a great addition to any mid-century modernist collection.
