A superb sequential set of 10 vintage commemorative Royal Copenhagen Christmas plates by Kai Lange,  years 1970 - 1979. All in mint or near mint condition. There are no chips or cracks. 

Traditionally, Christmas plates have been displayed as wall plates (perforations for hanging on back). However, the hard-wearing glazed porcelain is non-toxic and tolerates active use. Indeed, Danes often use these plates in the traditional Christmas lunches that are an important part of Danish "julehygge". 

RC have produced these much loved plates annually since 1908. They depict traditional scenes of Danish Christmas culture in striking cobalt blue and white glazed porcelain. 

This is a good opportunity to buy a complete sequential set of these fine plates from the 1970s. A Danish design classic that makes a great seasonal present or striking setting for a Christmas meal.
