Original Art Deco sculpture, communist's propaganda, from Soviet period. Cast metal.

Impressive image of young smiling blacksmith in his forge. Represents communist's ideal for happy proletarian, working for the bright future of his state.

In front of the anvil one can see the symbol of communist party - five pointed star.

Dated 1950-s. Great example of Soviet Art Deco style.

In very good vintage shape, even considering the age. Some small scratches, on the back and in the area of right shoulder, same under the anvil, marked - pls. see the close-ups attached. Fortunately don't affect too much this impressive artefact.

From my private collection. Not cleaned or polished, in initial state of find.                             

Height: 18.5 cm. Base: 8 x 8 cm. Weight: 1.233 kg.
