The parcel owned by Rossignol-Trapet (15 ares) is located in the upper part of the 1er cru site, on an open slope that is under the influence of the cooler air currents coming from the nearby Combe Grisard. The sunlight here is often generous and and the soil is very distinctive with a multitude of very fine pebbles. Under these conditions, the grapes ripen very well and this parcel is one of the Domaine's first to be harvested.
The Aux Combottes always offers a rich and silky texture with plenty of roundness. It is an expressive, very tasty and elegant Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru.
The vineyard is farmed organically and is certified by Ecocert and biodynamic by Demeter.
