István Prihoda (also known as István Azary-Prihoda; Cluj, November 15, 1891 - Budapest, November 22, 1965)

 He stood out mainly with his prints, which is why he won the state prize for graphics between 1911 and 1914 from the Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists three times. His nudes and figurative works (for example, plates entitled "Diana and Venus") made with cold needle were appreciated. He was awarded a medal at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. He served on the battlefield during World War I and was captured by Russia, but managed to escape home during the February Revolution. In 1926, he won the prize for graphics from the Merse Pál Szinyei Society.

In the 1920s, commissioned by art dealer József Frenkel, he produced prints from paintings by contemporary artists. These images are autographed or signed by the artists of the original painting. These engravings of his were widely known. It is interesting that in July 1925, the police marched in front of the art dealer Ernő Fränkel's shop and asked the owner to immediately remove the nude portrait prints of Béla Iványi Grünwald, János Vaszary and István Prihoda from the window.
