Wonderful set consisting of numerous Malagasy hippo teeth, a lower tusk, two upper tusks, a lower tusk fragment, a large central incisor , a small central incisor and a lateral incisor. The animals were very similar to today's hippos and pygmy hippos. The fossil record suggests that at least one species of hippopotamus lived until about 1,000 years ago.
