Il “Lucente” è un rosso dal profilo intenso e morbido, affinato in barrique per lungo tempo, che nasce da un fortunato blend di Sangiovese, il vitigno tipico delle terre di Toscana e Merlot, una nobile varietà bordolese. Grazie a questo connubio italo-francese, il vino trova la sua perfetta armonia espressiva e il suo equilibrio, che lo rendono piacevole fin da giovane, pur avendo anche un interessante potenziale d’evoluzione durante l’invecchiamento. E’ prodotto nella Tenuta Luce che si trova nello splendido territorio di Montalcino, una delle zone più vocate in assoluto della Toscana e patria di alcune tra le migliori eccellenze della nostra enologia.

Il rosso “Lucente” unisce la struttura del Sangiovese, con il suo carattere forte e a volte un po’ spigoloso, con la morbidezza fruttata e la suadente rotondità del Merlot, un’uva che è stata introdotta solo di recente a Montalcino, ma ha dimostrato da subito di adattarsi bene al clima e al territorio di questa preziosa collina in provincia di Siena. “Lucente” nasce da una selezione delle uve dei migliori vigneti: il Merlot per solito viene vendemmiato all’inizio di settembre, mentre il Sangiovese alla fine del mese. La fermentazione avviene in vasche d’acciaio alla temperatura controllata di 28 °C, con una macerazione sulle bucce di una ventina di giorni. Il vino matura per 12 mesi in barrique, in parte nuove e in parte già utilizzate e completa l’affinamento con alcuni mesi in bottiglia.
