Welcome to my auction. 
You are bidding on a true masterpiece of tribal Dogon art from my private collection. Hand-crafted by its maker, a Malian craftsman or "artisan", it presents itself with a variety of intriguing details. It bought it during my stay in the Djenné region in Mali about 15 years ago. Since then, it has always been stored inside a glass showcase.
This statue is a Dogon box/jar with horse riders on top and many animals adorning its contours.

MATERIAL: African bronze. Lost-wax casting process, dark aqua patina.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, originally from the Djenné region, in Mali (collected in situ).
SPECS: 17 cm height, 27 cm length. About 1500 g.
