Mercedes-Benz 170 DS. First ‘S-Klasse’ model (Sonder Modell = special model) and first production diesel on the market.

Car is almost complete. Only one previous owner, then taken over by the family that currently owns it. Purchased thirty years ago and stored unused in the body shop of the owner, where the restoration was started, since then. 

Body repainted and in very good condition, the only flaw (as shown in photos) is a mark on the rear bumper due to an operation during manufacturing. Restored bottom. Good chrome, some mouldings (friezes) are missing. 

Partially restored interior: new headliner, new linings available to be installed. Some parts may be missing.

Engine already disassembled and ready to be overhauled. Electrical system and exhaust system are missing.

Number plates and documents from the first equipment for the transfer of ownership. 

Very solid and original car. An excellent base for an easy restoration project.
