Snoopy lamp for FLOS by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, 1967

Design piece, an icon of interior design and midcentury world. This piece has become a design icon because it originates from entirely new lighting engineering concepts and, as such, has a non-traditional shape.

Direct light table lamp with metal reflector varnished in green colour and very elegant base of veined white Carrara marble. Cylindrical marble base, oblique with respect to the support plane, holds a transparent glass disc in the upper area, where the reflector sits, which in its upper part has three openings whose function is to allow the cooling of the same.

In the same way, the way it has to turn on is innovative, since the switch regulates the intensity of the light, as it contains a dimmer, something truly advanced for the moment of its conception.

It is a funny, cheerful and friendly model that deliberately reminds Snoopy, the puppy protagonist of the Charles M  Schultz comics. 

It needs a professional packaging and adapted to the materials that the piece has, such as marble, glass and fibreglass.
