The 1993–94 last edition GT-four RC (Rally Competition) was the final edition, after manufacturing the 5,000 units to be approved to allow the car to enter the FIA World Rally Championship.

A limited number of 1,800 cars became available, some of which were LHD for Europe and other markets where their demand was still very strong. Those cars were the last edition of the ST185. 

Technically it also got some advantages compared to the regular GT-Four and, of course, it had the same specifications as the first 5,000 units with FIA approval, also named ‘Carlos Sainz’.

Its bonnet and front bumper were the same as in the first 5,000 cars, but in terms of performance, the engine gave 218 BHP, 10 more than the first 5,000 FIA units. 

Very characteristic features of these cars were the fabric seats and the lack of sunroof, so they were lighter and more powerful compared to the Carlos Sainz model in Europe, mostly with grey leather seats and sunroof. 

This particular car had its timing belt, water pump, oil, water and petrol filters replaced and its spark plugs, petrol pump and clutch are new from 2020. Since then it has travelled less than 1,500 km.

The car has always been maintained by an official dealership and there is photo of the service book in the documents. The seller is the second owner since he bought it in 2018 from its first owner, who bought it new at the official dealership in Vigo (Spain) in 1994.  

The car is in very good condition. It was fully painted in 2018 and the paint is in perfect condition, with a rust-free bodywork. The car has not ‘slept’ a single day outside the garage, it is a very hard to find car in perfect condition.
