Jaguar - XK8 - Convertible - 2001 - Brilliant modern classic.

This is a beautiful Jaguar XK8 convertible with a properly driving and beautiful sounding 4.0L 24v V8 engine. Year of manufacture 2001, it’s a 20-year-old modern classic. Originally from the US, VAT and import duties have been paid. Odometer reading 90,600 miles, the Dutch periodic vehicle inspection (APK) is valid until the end of July 2022. 
 
This XK8 drives very well. The transmission is automatic and manual, both with an overdrive sports button. The electric soft-top works. This convertible spent the first 4 years in the USA and was then imported in Europe in 2005. Regularly maintained. This convertible drives almost weekly, just over 4,000 km driven in 2021 without any problems. The car is fine to drive on a daily basis, but also suitable as a nice collector’s item. The model is strikingly beautiful and much loved by sports car fans. The value of this Jaguar has risen considerably of late and more so over time, especially if the car is well maintained.

The leather interior is beige and surrounds parts of the dashboard, the front seats and the rear bench are full leather and in good condition. The driver's seat has had a minor paint repair. This was due to getting in and out of the car. Both front seats are comfortable, the electronic adjustment does not work properly. A new device has already been purchased to fix it. The wooden dashboard and steering wheel shine and are in good condition. The sound system is good and guarantees a nice sound whilst driving. Electrics such as lighting, indicators, air conditioning and other dashboard gauges all work well. The soft-top is good and looks like new.

The maintenance booklet / history is not complete. A valuation report (€16.000) is available (from summer 2020).

The car was then thoroughly checked by a car specialist with more than 50 years
practical experience with all types of Jaguars. He concluded that
the car is in good condition: "a very nice car for daily or occasional use".

A lot of maintenance was done since we bought the car (in April 2021). All
invoices are available.

The paintwork is in the colour black and shines beautifully. The chassis has no rust and is in good condition. As mentioned, the convertible is from 2001 and has signs of wear and age, improvements are of course always possible. The soft-top, tyres and rims all look like new. It has a Dutch registration.
