Stylish frame with Japanese Akoya oysters and pearls.

These classic round saltwater pearls are very popular due to their beautiful shape and intense shine and are usually ivory white, but sometimes also champagne or light pink. 

The pearls have been cultivated in Japan in the Akoya oyster since 1896. Freely translated, Akoya is Japanese for 'children of the sea'.

The value of a pearl is largely determined by the shine or lustre which is the amount of light reflected in the pearl by the various translucent layers of mother-of-pearl.

This framework includes the stages of development of the oyster from beginning to 2 years and also five pearls.

In good condition. There is some slight wear on the corners of the frame.

Provided with stamp "Made in Japan" and sticker of the maker.
