The Jaguar Sovereing XJ40 is a luxury saloon model produced by Jaguar from 1990 to 1994, and this beautiful example has covered only 80,000 km in over 30 years.

The bodywork is in excellent condition, in its metallic gunmetal grey colour.
Some details show a few signs of time and there are some imperfections (see photos), however, the car
has never been restored is a very good preserved item. The typical Sovereign chrome plating and trim are in place and in beautiful condition;

special attention has been paid to the interior, which was fitted out with great care; note the dashboard (with built-in on-board computer!), the beautiful position of the Jaguar logo on the steering wheel, which together with the central part of the gearbox, made of wood, give the car a very elegant look, like a real English parlour. 
The seats, made of fine Connolly leather, are in excellent condition, have a classic style and are very comfortable.

The chassis and undercarriage are in original condition and show some corrosion due to normal use; this car has always been kept in the garage and has rarely been out in the rain.

Mechanically it is in working order, only 80,000 km since new; it can be driven, although it needs a general overhaul of the mechanical parts, because it has not been used much recently. The gearbox shifts smoothly through the gears and the brakes work. No warning lights on the dashboard, tyres recently replaced.

The feeler gauge test was carried out on the bodywork and showed no major accidents; it showed very good values with the original factory paintwork (see photo).

In October 2021, it passed a technical inspection, which is valid until October 2023. However, it is a direct purchase from the previous owner and normal maintenance may be required in the future at the discretion of the new owner.
