Up for auction:

A Ford Capri from 1975. The car starts and drives.  This is a restoration project. 

The Capri was introduced in 1969 at the Brussels Motor Show. It was an attempt by Ford to sell a European version of the Ford Mustang. Based on the Ford Cortina, the car was built in Great Britain (Dagenham and Halewood), Belgium (Genk) and Germany (Saarlouis and Cologne). Initially, they wanted to use the name Colt, but this was already being used by Mitsubishi. The car was sold with a wide range of engines.

In 1972, a small facelift was implemented, the car received more comfortable suspension and rectangular headlights. In 1974, the so-called Mk2 was released, the nose was shortened and the car featured a hatchback boot lid. In 1976, demand for the car started to wane, by then it was only built in Saarlouis.

In 1977, the last update was introduced, the Mk 3. From 1984 onwards, the car was only sold in Great Britain. Nearly 2 million units were sold.

The Capri was also a sporting success, many races were won with this car such as the 24 Hours Nürburgring. It was also a successful car in rallycross.

This car is from 1975 and is equipped with the 1.3L engine.
A good basis for a restoration. The engine runs and the car drives, brakes and shifts.
