Vintage Port is made only if the conditions are perfect to create a vintage. Not every year is a vintage year.
This Vintage Port is the family business Taylor's where even traditional methods to produce their port types used and they have sustainable vineyard management a high priority.
After a cold and dry winter and lots of rain in April and May there were ideal weather conditions in August and September with lots of sunshine. As a result, the best fruit of the Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta Terra Feita this Port from the millennial year 2000 made this year to a spectacular vintage year.
The grape varieties: Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional
Origin: Douro Valley Portugal
This wine is to have only bottled in wooden barrels assured after two years (2002) after which they can develop the maturation sight.
