Pair of very large antique bookends made of patinated plaster in the form of two scientists: Louis Pasteur and Claude Bernard. 

Both were made and signed by the French sculptor Joanny Durand (1886-1952). 

The condition is good with some light signs of wear. Dimensions each: 20 x 12 x 10 cm.
