A diverse lot with three lots from Java. A pestle with mortar, a water jug with a beautiful patina and a betel box.
The pestle with mortar has a beautiful patina and dates from the beginning of the 20th century from Java.
This lumpang besi kuno was used to grind herbs. They are made of the same iron as keris knives and weigh extremely heavy (5kg) given their small dimensions. The water jug is in a nice used condition. The betel box is also in a nice used condition, normally there is also an element on the other side of the chain, but that is missing. Still a beautiful decorative object.
