This is a excellent and long table linen in 4 meters 45cm. and in pure linen.
What is so good about these linen is the fact that they have been very 
rarely used and only came out of the armoires for special occasions, New Year's Eve when the entire French families were together, baptisms and of course marriages .
There has been a resurgence  of late for these long table linen . The problem being a lot of people now destroy them by shortening them and using the remnants to make napkins, which is absolute sacrilege as they are  damaged for good.
The top has a large rectangular piece of 60cm wide by  2m95 long. The top sides have been left plain to enable  to deck the table without covering the design. Within the two lines of open thread work is a stylish ornamental design which is repeated at the edgings again. On either side of the ornamental design are a further two smaller stylish design.
There are two sets of initials P.C. one at each ends and which are linked which hints to a wedding table linen. They are interestingly embroidered with high relief to make them stand out.
The table linen has very well "thought out" prior to being woven as the plain linen is covered in snow flakes which gives a beautiful result.
As this table linen did not come with napkins we have added 12 napkins in linen with initials J.V. to make it complete as a set. The napkins measure 62cmx74cm. The initials are particularly romantically embroidered with small flowers minute twigs and leaves intertwined to the initials.
