Ancient Roman Legionary Iron short variety of a significan Pilum
Type used to carry the Legion Standarts!
Very rare and interesting example maybe "adopted" from the romans from one of the first their enemies the Samnites. One of the ''wings'' slightly bent and some defects on the socketed area, otherwise in very good grade of preservation for such a difficult material like an iron! With a typical rusty brownish surface. See Photo
