Boes (Ox Tales, Alvaro, FantaZoo) is a pantomime gag-a-day comic about an anthropomorphic ox that walks on clogs. Many gags revolve around his comical interactions with animals. 

The gorilla on this animation cel is Boes's best-known sidekick and often the victim of his well-intentioned actions. This animation cel can be framed as desired, with or without the broken hearts, because these are included on a separate transparent layer. Both options were used in the cartoon series.

Between 1988 and 1991, the comic book series was adapted into an animated TV series. A total of 101 episodes were made and broadcast internationally in English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Hebrew, Portuguese, French, German and Swedish.
