Offered from my own collection, a 78 rpm suitcase gramophone “COLUMBIA Viva-Tonal Grafanola” no. 109A from 1928.

This gramophone was produced in England by Columbia that used the reliable drive motor no. 25 from Garrard.

The gramophone is in original condition and works excellently.

With its sound box Columbia N9, the right one for this model and year of construction, a beautiful and very good sound is displayed.

The motor also works perfectly, as well as the speed controller and braking system.

The 109A was one of the first Columbia machines that used the Plano Reflex arm with its characteristic reflective surfaces at an angle of 45 degrees. 

Has storage in the lid for a number of gramophone records.

The winding lever is on the front side of the cabinet and can then be folded into the cabinet.

Despite some light signs of wear, the whole is in beautiful condition.

A number of needles are included.
