In the early 1990s, Verner Panton was tasked by IKEA to design the Vilbert chair. The idea was to come up with an excellent design aimed at a large audience for a relatively cheap price. Only 3000 of these chairs were produced, in two colour schemes, and these have since then become design classics. The chair has a simple construction and is made of MDF plates which are covered with matte laminated melamine resin (purple, blue, green, red). The chair is in a good condition, however it is used and shows signs of usage. Scratches on the surface, see the photos.
