A Victorian Brass Shoulder Belt Plate to the 18th Foot (Royal Irish Regiment), rectangular, cast with ribbon VIRTUTIS NAMURCENSIS PRAMIUM over a Queen`s crown and winged harp within a garland of shamrock, roses and thistles, over sphinx EGYPT and ribbon XVIII. ROYAL IRISH, the reverse with four lugs.
Original from the era.
1890 Irish regiment send to Egypt secure relationships for UK colonies.
Size - 7 cm width and 10 cm long.
