Porcelain sculpture of a resurrected Christ after a design by Bertel Thorvaldsen.
The original is a 19th century Carrara marble sculpture that has been in the Lutheran Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk in Copenhagen, Denmark, since 1838.

This sculpture is made of biscuit porcelain, also called ‘Parian’, and made by a Danish factory. The piece is unfortunately without marks, though was possibly made by Gustavsberg or Royal Copenhagen.

It is very detailed and of high quality.

The hands have been restored. As a result of the vulnerable character of the stuck-out fingers, five fingers have at one point been restored (see photos). The sculpture is otherwise in perfect condition.

It is 44 cm in height.
A width of 29 cm.
