Dimensions: 38 cm W x 25.5 cm D x 24 cm H

This is a fine captain's liquor chest dating to the late 18th century.
Alternatively called a gentleman's traveling liquor chest, the piece has the full original set of Stiegel glass bottles. comprises of 7 decanters, 3 glasses, a glass stopper, and 4 smaller decanters.
The blown decanters with deeply engraved decoration of tulips and the glasses engraved with a floral design with gilded highlights.
The chest is in oak,  working "crab" locking system with key.
one removable compartment for the glasses and stopper.
The interior is lined with stenciled paper.
includes 19th century English enamel bottles labels, Whisky, Rum, Madeira, Malaga, Cherry Brandy, Wermut, himbeer and Zwetsch.


Condition: Overall very good for age and type. Some wear to oak box, and gilt decoration.
All the decanters and glasses are original and in a pristine condition.
6 of the large decanters are missing their cork stopper.
