A beautiful work of art: A Japanese parasol with a long, carved, wooden handle. Grip is beautifully carved and engraved with characters and figures. The grip is crowned with a Japanese man with hat.
The man sits on a embankment of bone. The ferrule is carved of the same wood.

The fabric of the parasol has completely decomposed over the years, but this is especially a beautiful piece because of the grip.  The hat is damaged.
