A very interesting scene of the Ashanti, finely and delicately carved.

The scene offers a very realistic scene of a woman grinding at the entry of a hut, meticulously represented on a finely chiselled base. 
She is sitting on a stool, surrounded by two other persons in action, as well as by four African animals. 
Generally speaking, this object is historically very interesting, original and “narrative”.  

With an old, dark, bronze-coloured patina with light traces of verdigris (probably due to the copper content of the material).  
The stand presents much wear (have a look at the pictures). 

Dimensions:  Length: 18 cm.  Depth: 15 cm. Height: 11 cm. 
Weight:  2,200 kilograms.
