Very beautiful yellow/white space age ceiling or wall light by Louis Kalff for Philips, ca 1958. In this lamp from the space age era there are some clear similarities with the Evoluon (which has the shape of a flying disk) that has been designed by Louis Kalff as well. 
Typical for that time is the construction of the hood with the light bulb in the centre.

 This ceiling light will also illuminate nicely with a head mirror lamp. Louis Kalff (1897-1976), architect and designer, was art director at Philips in Eindhoven.
