Biography:
Bert Six (1902 Missouri USA - 1967 Los Angeles California USA) 
Bert Six debuted as a still photographer for the RKO movie “Prestige” in 1932. For two decades, he worked for Warner Bros. as their set photographer. Lauren Bacall, Kirk Douglas, Jayne Mansfield, Greta Garbo and Roman Polanski were some of the celebrities portrayed by Six. In 2002, a photo of Hollywood legend Gary Grant made by Six, was the base for a 37 cents stamp of US Postage, one of the nation’s highest honors. Six was a skillful studio photographer, always in search for fine contrast and balanced compositions. Since he worked solely with large technical camera’s, Six is noted for never taking pictures outside the studio complex.

American actress and singer/songwriter Mary Stuart was offered a contract in 1948 at Warner Brothers. She appeared with stars as Ronald Reagan (The Girl from Jones Beach), Errol Flynn (Adventures of Don Juan), Clark Gable (The Hucksters) and Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball (The Big Street). After her contract was terminated, CBS offered her a TV-role in the soap “Search for Tomorrow”. The serie ran for 35 years (!), until 1986. Stuart would become synonymous with the show and her character, and was nominated for an Emmy Award. As a vocalist, Stuart collaborated with Percy Faith on an album in 1956 and with Michel Legrand in 1973. She married CEO of Time/Life Richard Krolik in 1951 and divorced him in 1966. In her book “All My Afternoons” she writes that Krolik was a frequently verbally abusive husband. Stuart remained single for two decades afterwards before marrying Wolfgang Neumann in 1986.
