Beautifully carved ivory elephant tusk from the Bakongo tribe of the former Belgian Congo colony.

This large antique ivory tusk is carved in the shape of a parade of 9 elephants. 
They walk in direction of a branch with leaves.  
Beautifully stylised, carved in detail.  Carved piece of high quality. 
Minor repairs were performed, there is a crack in the middle. Have a look at picture 403.


The provider guarantees that this is antique ivory, crafted before 1947, and thus, permitted under CITES regulations.

Approximate weight: 2 kilograms.
