Akai GXC-75D
with 
Manual, service manual, various Akai brochures from the time as well as all photos on CD-Rom.

The 1975 top model of Akai was one of the first attempts to apply the auto-reverse system, on a cassette deck, by means of a swivel combi-head shell, which was becoming popular in tape recorders.
With tape recorders, 1 or 2 extra heads were no problem, the cassette players on the other hand had no space for that.
Akai therefore came out(first and only) with a "spiral deck" the GXC-65D which flipped the cassette itself.
(note: the GXC-65 is the recorder version with built-in amplifier).
That did not always go well and often the cassette got stuck under the dust cover.
It was Nakamichi with the RX series that first got a good grasp on the spiral deck in 1984.
In the GXC-75D, the 1975 top model of Akai, the Japanese manufacturers went for immovable solidity and the tape is directed along the recording/head shells through an extra heavy dual-capstan drive with dual flywheels, which allowed for stunning specifications for that time.

This rare "top of the line" top loader is in excellent condition.
Only flaw is a damage mark consisting of some scratches next to the “tape selector” switch.
Through a macro lens I have depicted them as good as possible.

The Akai will be very securely packaged following all art regulations (boxed twice), and shipped worldwide.
