Antique Deccani / Central India 17th Century bronze incense burner.
The peacock shaped incense burner has a pierced and engraved body with spread wings and tail.
The upper part of the body hinged and can be opened so the incense can be placed inside the peacock bird body, the neck has bin pierced to allow the aroma to escape.
The bird head has large eyes and around his neck a band/necklace.
The tail of the peacock is made of tubular extensions probably to place real peacock feathers in for decoration.
The bird incense burner is resting on a wooden block/pedestal.

Measures; 25,3 cm high,incl. pedestal.
Weight; 1539 gram.
Condition; In good, used condition, there is a old crack/damage at the backside (near tail) of the incense burner. See photo's.
