This solid luxury stereo microscope, no: 521256 is made by Ernst Leitz, nowadays Leica. The microscope of the Greenough type is characterised by its functionality and many application possibilities. It has some wear, especially to the lacquer, the foot and the table are therefore repainted Mechanical functions run smoothly and without slack, the enlarged optics are clean without scratches. This microscope comes from science education, therefore many parts have numbers engraved in them.
This version of the microscope consists of:
-	a very stable tripod, with a coarse-control via dovetailed rails with stop, a fine-control with dual control knobs, the originally armrests are missing;
-	binocular tubes at an angle of 45°, adjustable pupil distance. There are 3 eyepiece pairs: 8x-9 mm, 12.5x11 mm and 18x8 mm, of each pair there is a copy for adjustable vision correction;
-	the microscope is of the Greenough type and has a triple slide for quick change of the lens pairs, of which there are 5: 1x fixed mounted on the sledge and 2x, 4x, 8x and 12x, these are interchangeable and can be mount to two connectors on the sledge. The sledge can be slid through two dials on the right place. This combined provides magnifications from 8x to 216x;
-	with two rods, polarization filters can be moved into the beam path
-	the table is made of clear glass and features two specimen clamps
-	As top light, there is a Schott cold light source KL 150 B with a single arm (extension possible). As through light, there is a double-sided mirror with minor damage and a separate led spotlight on batteries (included, picture is of a similar led light));
-	The scope itself weighs 4.3 kg, the light source 4.2 kg, the dimensions of the microscope are W 13 X L 19 X H 34 cm. A dust cover is included, but it is of a different brand;
-	The micro photographs of the three stereo preparations micromounts (included) are made with this microscope and a digital usb eyepiece (not included).
