Charles and Ray Eames completed the interior design of their private house, the Eames House, designed in the manner of a collage, with the many objects and accessories they brought back from their travels. In the middle of the dwelling one could see for more than fifty years a bird sculpture in black wood on the floor, a piece of American folk art particularly appreciated by Charles and Ray, which they often used as an accessory in their photos.
