This Daimler was delivered new by Daimler in Paris.  First owner was Guy Prout Diaz, a French musician. This is why it is a left-hand drive vehicle with an odometer. Of this left hand drive New Drophead Coupé, a total of 17 were built of which 8 are known to still exist. Found this car recently in a barn just south of Paris. Bought the car from a widow. Her husband had begun restoring the car but then he died. The original engine is not present, must be at a revision company but the lady does not know where it is. I therefore purchased a donor car with the correct type of engine. This is a running car, engine runs good, oil pressure is good, measured compression is also good. The advantage is that you also have many other extra parts.  
The Daimler Conquest Century New Drophead Coupé is delivered new in Pale Blue, with dark blue interior with white piping and dark blue top. An interesting feature of this car is that it has a transverse third seat behind the front seats.  Body is good but not perfect. The chassis is OK. This car needs a full restoration. A "birth certificate" of the Jaguar Heritage Trust and a declaration of loss / vehicle registration certificate  are included.

All in all a very rare car and an interesting restoration project. In 2011, before the huge price increases of classics, a RHD restored car in GB was auctioned for 70,000 GBP.
