Francisco Álvarez

A wonderful hand sewing machine of the Singer Manufacturing Co.
First patented on December 5, 1882 and then to 13 January 1891.
The production number is K 657215. The machine (model 28) was made in 1903.
The machine is black-lacquered and very beautifully decorated with gold-coloured tendrils with flowers and attractive factory logos, including the text “The Singer Manfc. Co" and "Trade Mark".
The front is nickel plated and profiled steel. The decoration consists of a beautiful vine with clusters of grapes and a particularly beautiful edge decoration.
The machine has a beautiful dust cover with a nice profiled handle. Also on the dust cover a beautiful gold-coloured logo by the manufacturer. The cover fastening does not fit properly, however. The wiring is slightly faulty.
The dimensions are (including dust cover) lxwxh = 47x24x32 cm.
The weight is 14 kg.
The sewing machine will be well packed and shipped, but can also be collected in Haarlem.
