Constance’s favourite memories as a child are of visiting monuments and museums. There she could marvel at the masters while perfecting her own fledgling painting skills, which eventually won her a spot at the most prestigious school of art in Paris, the École Boulle. At the school Constance fell in love with technical art, especially wood and she eventually graduated as a Marquetry Craftswoman. Wanting to use the intricate skills she had spent years mastering, Constance decided to become an art restorer. She began studying furniture as historical objects and was so fascinated by the wonderful stories behind each piece, she knew that becoming an expert was what she was truly meant to do. One of the reasons Constance chose to join Catawiki in 2020 was because she would be able to assess amazing antiques from the world over. Every week she discovers new objects, with unusual and specific uses and she gets to unveil the stories behind them, which is her idea of paradise.
