Vintage Gentleman's Longines 1950's automatic wrist watch.
The watch has a 19-jewel automatic movement, calibre 22AS, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed with the Longines name and the serial number 8069388 which denotes movement to have been manufactured in 1950. In 1946, the 22A was the first automatic movement manufactured by Longines, the 22AS was a centre seconds variant.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The 2 piece stainless steel case is marked to the interior "EFCO LONGINES ACIER INOX" exterior of case back lightly engraved "A.H. MARROW" for case has some very light surface scratches consistent with age. The winding crown is a later replacement.
The lens has a few light surface scratches apart from that in good condition.
The original superbly patinated silvered dial signed "Longines Automatic Swiss Made" has some discolouration consistent with age.
A new 17 mm leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
