The ‘’Mami’’ cookware series were originally designed in 1999 by Stefano Giovannoni. During the 2000s and 2010s the set has become an iconic pan set for the high-end market. This set is composed of one pot, one casserole with two handles, one low casserole with two handles, one saucepan and three lids in 18/10 stainless steel. Magnetic steel bottom suitable for induction cooking.

After "La Cintura di Orione" by Richard Sapper and "Falstaf" by Alessandro Mendini, Alessi entrusted a designer from the new generation with the difficult task of firing the public's imagination by exploring the archaic continent of “potness”. Stefano Giovannoni, whose style is an explicit reference to a poetry of affections, has brought his interpretation to ancient terracotta pots. Ah, the warmth of familiar aromas in good, big, round pots "with two ears" (as Catullus wrote), here made of functional and practical stainless steel.

This set of pans has never been used and the pans even have the original stickers on the bottom attached. Delivered with original packaging and documentation.

About Stefano Giovannoni:
Born in La Spezia in 1954, Stefano as an architect and designer was taught by Buti at Florence University. In the early 80’s he founded the King-Kong Production Group along with Guido Venturini. A technical designer par excellence he has industrial design in his DNA and the capacity to understand public sentiment like no other designer. His projects began with the Girotondo (1989 designed with Guido Venturini) and the first transparent objects in plastic from the Family Follows Fiction series (1993). Besides Alessi Giovannoni designed objects for other famous brands as well (e.g. Magis and Qeeboo).
