Here is an astonishing and unique combination specimen featuring five well crystallized and emblematic species from the Erongo mountains pegmatite pockets!
The specimens consists in a recrystallized single floater crystal of black schorl tourmaline, almost entirely coated in later pegmatite species: remarkable yellow muscovite rosette sheets, transparent goshenite beryl, two generations of fluorite, one as deep purple zoned cubes and the other one as bright green cubododecahedrons with schorl inclusions!
Notice at the back side late generation white hyalite opal, probably very UV reactive, occurring as botryoidal-concretionate structures.
Simply stunning and very rare comprehensive combination of fine pegmatite species, including two different habits of fluorite!
What a marvel from the Earth, the kind that only a few deposits worldwide are able to produce...!
As a geologist with metallogeny education I must say this is an extraordinary example of paragenetic sequence from a pegmatite. I can't remember of any other specimen with such a comprehensive and fine quality combination.
